Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of International Engagement and Study Abroad, the coordinator is responsible for the development and administration of all study abroad programs at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. The coordinator will provide assistance in the development, implementation and marketing of all study abroad and exchange programs on campus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary contact and source of information for the participants including application procedures, admissions decisions, orientation and advising.
• Advise students on a variety of study abroad programs and exchange program opportunities
• Manage program publicity, recruitment, logistics, finances, orientations, and re-entry events.
• Plan and organize campus-wide study abroad fair bi-annually and represent the OSA at university events.
• Conduct pre-departure orientation and evaluation for both faculty and students
• Serve as a liaison between **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and its partner organizations and institutions
• Work closely with key offices on campus (i.e. Registrar, Financial Aid, Public Safety, academic units) to coordinate incoming and outgoing education abroad students.
• Participate in the campus-wide initiatives on risk management, related to study abroad programs, including international health/safety insurance
• Maintain study abroad database and statistics and prepare annual goals and reports
• Regularly update the OSA website and social media activities with information related to study abroad and exchange programs
• Assist incoming exchange students with admission and visa applications; pre-arrival questions; course registration; and serve as a liaison between the students and University community
• Support student clubs’ activities
• Assist the Director with any other necessary assignments
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 or more years of experience working in study abroad
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and database applications.
• Excellent public speaking, presentation, writing and interpersonal skills are essential
• A high level of self-sufficiency, combined with strong managerial, organizational, and administrative skills.
• Personal and professional knowledge of international education
• Willingness to work in the evenings and weekends
