They have one of the most state-of-the-art and comprehensive skin-based service lines nationally including laser, light, radiofrequency, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery techniques, Medicare-approved surgery centers and a full-service dermatopathology laboratory. This newly created role is the perfect opportunity for an experienced clinical recruiter to leverage their comprehensive skills and experience in a fast-growing company.
As a Physician Recruiter you will act as a liaison between facility/office leadership team, candidates and C-level executives to facilitate the recruitment of new physicians and other clinical staff joining the organization. You will use your ability to manage full cycle recruiting of highly qualified talent within tight time frames. You will also provide leaders with appropriate guidance on handling issues and providing recommendations.
Job Summary
This position leads the strategic recruitment of employed and private practice physicians and clinical staff to meet community needs at the organizations various facilities locations. This includes the entire process from marketing, interviewing, candidate assessments, interview process facilitation and interview team management, offer negotiations and pre-employment engagement. Operationalizes and maintains compliance with all CA State and Federal laws and guidelines.
Essential Functions
Engages in critical business discussions to address and understand talent gaps. Requires building strong collaborative working relationships with executive leadership, physician compensation, benefits, and strategic business partners, organizational and functional leaders across the organization and in each office location. Communicates in a proactive, effective and timely manner with stakeholders across the organization.
Leads marketing efforts to notify potential physician candidates of the organizations opportunities through various media, specialty meetings, mailings, and other recruitment outlets and evaluates best options for successful recruitment.
Directs and/or performs all aspects of the recruitment process, from early contact to strategic offer negotiations. Follows organizations recruitment policies and procedures and performs all recruiting activities within the context of legal, economic and political considerations. Interacts regularly with attorneys representing physician clients.
Maintains in depth working knowledge and understanding of physicians, their practices, and national trends affecting physicians and healthcare organizations, and local and national legislative issues.
Develops recruitment policies and procedures, along with others. Engages parties from operations or HR to plan, implement, and evaluate such improvement efforts.
Knowledge of business and/or healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration, public relations, marketing or related field
Experience, knowledge and understanding of physician recruitment or physician relations as normally demonstrated through at least five years of physician recruitment, physician relations, healthcare, public relations, business or marketing experience
Superb negotiation skills and project management skills. Inspires out of state physicians to relocate to area through enthusiasm and provision of relevant information about the region and organization
Advanced understanding of planning and marketing concepts. Able to conceptualize, envision and plan for the future
Collaborates with colleagues effectively and interfaces with all levels of management
Superior verbal and written communication with ability to speak professionally to small and large groups
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to develop alternative solutions to problems; comparing and analyzing data; preparing clear, concise, thorough, meaningful, and grammatically correct written reports, letters, memoranda, and other documents
Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and make decisions relating to assigned tasks
Extensive knowledge of principals and practice of business administration including, but not limited to: report preparation, creation of spreadsheets, database information input and maintenance, creation of marketing tools, such as flyers and brochures
Strong technically in MS Office, Social Media, and Internet as it applies to posting of job openings and other recruitment activities. Strong systems and ATS experience
