This position will also have access to industry thought leaders, and have the opportunity to provide thoughtful thought leadership to the corporate wellbeing space.  Virgin Pulse is seeking a Freelance Social Media Strategist to develop and implement paid and non-paid social media activity, assist with short-form content creation, and provide top-of-funnel reporting regarding engagement of our targeted B2B audience.  Specifically, the Social Media Strategist will be expected to:Scan social media daily for relevant industry-related news and activity of partners/clients/competitorsEngage appropriately with our current social media audience and proactively engage with target prospects, wellness influencers, Virgin Pulse clients and partnersDevelop witty and concise social media copy for paid and organic effortsCo-manage social media content strategy and proactively plan on a monthly/quarterly basis Schedule all social media updates and manage branding of Virgin Pulse pagesProvide proactive recommendations regarding ad format, targeting, and platform-specific contentMonitor paid ad results daily and make tweaks to targeting and spend as necessary based on campaign goalsProvide topline monthly reporting to management team examining social media metrics and growthBuild and track social campaigns in Hubspot and salesforce as well as social share of voice using TrendKiteCreate social media post recommendations for employees around major Virgin Pulse news and eventsWork with counterparts at other Virgin companies to amplify VP's social reach Qualifications:2-4 years of social media experience, particularly in the B2B or SAAS spaceUnderstanding of emerging paid social media technology such as Facebook lead ads, retargeting, custom audiences, and LinkedIn InMailUnderstands how to be cheeky without being campy or cheeseyUnderstands latest algorithms, changes and major decisions that impact social media Analytical mindset and ability to identify patterns, trends Firm understanding of grammar and sound judgment regarding on-the-fly engagementConfident with topline social media reporting and basic Google AnalyticsPreference for candidates with Hubspot, salesforce and Wordpress familiarityBachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field Hours: 10-20 per week
