Description

Position Summary

: Six Flags America is seeking an organized and resourceful to join our Group Sales team! This position oversees event management, ticketing, website, creative development of sales collateral and mailers, and administrative support for the department to ensure maximum productivity and support of the Company, Park, and departmental goals and objectives.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee event management and execution of group sales events, picnics and programs, including supervision of seasonal event coordinators.

Serve as primary department contact with the catering area, including efficient communication of event details, managing catering meetings, and preparing necessary paperwork.

Coordinate collateral, brochure, and design requests with creative agency.

Create new and update existing Group Sales webpage content of the Six Flags America website.

Manage ticket administration for Group Sales, including setting up online ticketing programs, establishing products in the ticketing system, and serving as a liaison with the ticketing area of the Finance Department.

Supervise telemarketing calls to generate more sales.

Develop and maintain good working relationships with other park operating areas and sales executives.

Manage the daily submission and execution of reports, paperwork, contracts, tickets, etc.

Hire, recruit, and train seasonal event coordinators and telemarketer.

Work up to six days per week to service large group outings.

Facilitate weekly special events meeting to review upcoming events and department needs.

Interface with clients and vendors to ensure all event expectations are met.

Maintain special events calendar.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Reporting Structure

Reports directly to the General Sales Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

A minimum of two years in event coordination is required. Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred.

Outgoing and friendly personality, along with excellent interpersonal skills. Professional appearance essential.

Ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously and meet deadlines in an efficient manner.

Strong work ethic with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Computer literacy. Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.

Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
