Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-Internal Communications.

In this role, the successful candidate will develop and execute integrated digital and editorial content strategies that advance NYU Langone Health institutional priorities. In this position you will be critical to building a narrative that advances our business objectives, enhances employee engagement and informs the workforce. This position supports NYU Langone Health System and will be located in Midtown Manhattan reporting to the Senior Director, Internal Communications, within the Office of Communications and Marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

Partner closely with the Senior Director, Internal Communications, to design and execute internal communications strategies that facilitate employee engagement and that build awareness and drive action to support ongoing business objectives and `of-the-moment priorities

Manage institutional digital content on the intranet portal, which serves as the primary link to employees across the institution, including content generation, writing quality, page layout, and leveraging portal capabilities to engage the workforce

Manage communications vehicles, such as the editorial calendar, content for manager toolkits, and leadership communications, to ensure work is delivered on schedule and at a high quality

Manage performance of staff and freelance writers to ensure quality work is delivered on time and on budget

Partner closely with key stakeholders to advance institutional messages and content in their own communications; level up important information from those departments and, as appropriate, share across institutional channels

Proactively identify new opportunities and develop programs to continually improve our communications approach

Utilize new or updated technology solutions and digital workplace capabilities and identify how they might be leveraged to improve internal communications

Build and maintain successful relationships with HR and MCIT to ensure alignment with strategy, priorities and deliverables

Proactively collaborate with colleagues across the Office of Communications & Marketing (press, digital media, marketing, and publications) to develop and deliver timely, complementary internal communications messages as they may relate to important external news, institutional progress, advertising, or external publications

Ensure that all internal communications adhere to the institutions editorial standard

Build and maintain relationships across the institution to enhance professional image of and support for internal communications, including participation in various committees

Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-moving organization while maintaining an eye for accuracy and detail

Additional responsibilities and projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism or English.

5 years of corporate communications experience (including at least 2 years in internal communications); experience with multiple departments and a geographically dispersed employee population a plus
