What youâ€™ll be doing:
The Senior Manager, Customer Marketing is responsible for developing and driving coordinated sales and marketing outreach strategies for the Staples Advantage business. He or she will lead with customer data and insights to develop plans that deliver a cohesive customer experience across touchpoints including sales, email, digital media and site. The Senior Manager will lead a team of marketing professionals and will work cross-functionally with multiple teams, including customer analytics, customer insights, sales, creative agency, circulation, and vehicle owners.
Define/execute coordinated sales and marketing strategies to grow share from active customer segments, based on a deep understanding of customer wants and needs using both quantitative and qualitative data.
Review and evolve tactics based on areas of opportunity.
Partner with sales operations teams to activate seller plays in coordination with marketing efforts.
Prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
Create a pipeline of testing and learning, with clear goals and actions based on test results.
Oversee the tactical execution of plans, ensuring flawless execution.
Drive development of measurement plans/KPIs in partnership with customer analytics. Drive post-campaign analysis and action plan.
Manage marketing budget for customer development.
Manage team of 4 direct reports. Oversee responsibilities, drive priorities, provide coaching and mentorship.
What you bring to the table:
Experienced, results-oriented, and customer-centric sales and marketing professional with the ability to drive strategy using customer insights and transactional data.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem-solving activities.
Team-orientation, with an affinity for influencing and working across functions in a dynamic, often-changing environment.
Strong leader; able to keep initiatives moving on time, on budget, and with attention to detail. Able to foresee and prevent problems in advance and fix any issues quickly.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills; able to articulate the most important business questions and develop recommendations and action plans based on data.
Strong manager and developer of people.
Whatâ€™s needed- Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of strategic planning and sales/marketing experience
Whatâ€™s needed- Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorâ€™s Degree preferably in Marketing or Communications
Previous experience in B2B sales and marketing
