The successful Grants Manager is a motivated, team-oriented individual responsible for overseeing all LifeMoves grant and contract execution, implementation, reporting, and close-out processes. The Grants Manager works closely with Development, Finance, Program, and Compliance Teams to steward funders in order to achieve LifeMoves fundraising goals. This is a full-time, exempt position; some evenings and weekends required. Specific duties include:
Identify, cultivate, secure, and renew public contract and private grant funding
Review and recommend application strategies and approaches for public and private RFP solicitations
Attend public contract and private grant RFP information sessions
Lead contract execution, kick-off, modification, and close-out processes
Participate in contract monitoring with appropriate Finance, Program, and internal point persons for all grant- and contract-related questions
Maintain public contract and private grant database and reporting tracking tools
Provide cross-functional contract expertise in contract execution, implementation, and administration
Lead and manage public contract and private grant updates and reporting, collaborating and coordinating with Program, Finance, and Compliance Teams for accurate, on-time submissions
Participate in writing, preparation, and submission of public contract and private grant Letters of Intent and proposals, including drafting creative, engaging cases for support
Organize and facilitate weekly grant and contract review meetings with cross-functional organization representation
Maintain accurate and complete grant and contract records in electronic and paper formats
Participate in strategic planning, development team, and quarterly business review meetings
Build and maintain expert knowledge of LifeMoves programs and research economic and labor market indicators and policies/theories concerning homelessness and homeless service providers to prepare accurate, comprehensive, and persuasive funding requests and reports
Exceptional, demonstrated project management, organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills
Minimum of 3-5 years experience writing and editing grant and contract letters of inquiry and proposals
Exceptional excellent, proactive communication skills
Performance-driven attitude, with high standards and a proven ability to achieve established goals and milestones
Proven ability to work independently with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Raiser’s Edge experience preferred
English fluency required
Strong technical skill with Microsoft Office suite
Reliable transportation and access to personal vehicle required
