Description The Weber Shandwick Minneapolis office is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead the Client Experience of its Corporate Practice. The candidate will have the opportunity to drive a broad range of corporate reputation campaigns across a range of clients, and lead a team of very talented practitioners. The ideal candidate will possess strong client leadership experience, a media strategy background, and have prior experience leading integrated communications campaigns at a PR agency. Experience working with clients in Higher Education preferred. Primary Responsibilities \u2022 Serve as primary or day-to-day client contact on corporate reputation and corporate communications accounts. \u2022 Lead and manage the Corporate Affairs client experience team in providing top notch service to our wide range of clients \u2022 Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and execute plans and recommendations (including digital and social media strategies) for clients. \u2022 Conceptualize and pitch \u2013 or oversee pitching of \u2013 well-developed stories to key national, trade and other media of importance to client goals. \u2022 Develop and deliver client presentations (as needed). \u2022 Keep client programs on schedule and ensure all deadlines are met within set budget parameters. \u2022 Build, nurture and expand client relationships. \u2022 Ensure client satisfaction. \u2022 Participate in new business development for the group and collaborate among practice areas at the agency in support of new business pitches. \u2022 Structure and staff new and existing project teams, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates. \u2022 Train and motivate Corporate staff members and help create opportunities for their growth. \u2022 Conduct performance appraisals of direct reports. Qualifications Basic Qualifications \u2022 Minimum: Bachelor's Degree \u2022 12 years of relevant reputation building and corporate communications experience at a prior agency and\/or a corporation \u2022 Has strong project management skills (e.g., managing budgets and plan rollouts) \u2022 Is able to communicate clearly and persuasively both orally and in writing Additional Qualifications \u2022 Blends analytical strength with focused creativity to turn ideas into workable plans. \u2022 Thrives under pressure and can handle multiple projects in a demanding, deadline-oriented environment, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail \u2022 Has a track record of placing stories for clients and forging reporter relationships \u2022 Is current in the latest trends in social media strategy, tools and analytics \u2022 Highly collaborative across various functions and team members \u2022 Can mobilize, motivate and account teams. \u2022 Can anticipate client and team needs and instill confidence in clients and colleagues. \u2022 Is adept at solving problems and resolving conflicts. \u2022 Pays close attention to detail and quality. \u2022 Exercises exceptional judgment when working with team members, clients and vendors. \u2022 Has experience and interest in supporting new business efforts.
