The College Outreach Coordinator is responsible for producing inquiries and applications by developing relationships and strengthening recruitment partnerships with K12 school districts, businesses, and service providers within assigned region.  In addition, this position will work closely with prospective students, parents and the general public to promote the merits of technical education and coordinate the expansion of dual credit programming (Transcripted Credit, Youth Apprenticeship, and Youth Options).Duties & Responsibilities Lead coordination of dual credit programming and reporting for the College.  Register dual credit students and promote dual credit opportunities with K12 districts, students, and parents within assigned region.Conduct extensive outreach to inquiries including phone, email, mail correspondence and workshops, tours and presentations to share general college information, explain program offerings, and highlight student services.Organize, coordinate, and conduct on- and off- campus events with schools, businesses, and service provider partners including college and career fairs (includes occasional evening and weekend events).Collaborate with Marketing and Communications Department to develop and maintain specialized recruitment materials, publications, and outreach website for general recruitment including dual credit programming.Track recruitment activities utilizing the customer relationship management (CRM) system.  Maintain and document all interactions with prospective students according to department procedures in the CRM.Write, facilitate, monitor and report on Youth Apprenticeship grant and budget for the Mid-Wisconsin School to Work Partnership.Consistently achieve recruitment objectives.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Education, or related field required.  Combination of education and occupational experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree will be given consideration.Marketing, sales, or recruitment experience required.Knowledge of marketing techniques, student recruitment methodologies, and customer relationship management preferred.Experience in effective program design, planning, and implementation of a major project or activities targeting prospective students, with an emphasis on first time college students preferred.Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.Must possess ability to:Develop and leverage relationships within and across work groups to achieve results.Use effective involvement and persuasion strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions that support specific work outcomes.Meet and exceed (internal or external) customer expectations while cultivating relationships that secure commitment and trust.Establish an action plan for self and others to complete work efficiently and on time by setting priorities, establishing timelines, and leveraging resources.Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment (e.g., people, processes, structure, or culture); adjust effectively to change by exploring the benefits, trying new approaches, and collaborating with others to make the change successful.Take prompt action to accomplish work goals; take action to achieve results beyond what is required; be proactive.Set high standards of performance for self and others; assume responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-impose standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.Demonstrate a positive attitude and approach toward work.Must embrace Mid-State’s core values of student centeredness, commitment, accountability, respect, integrity, and exceptional service. Compensation & Benefits Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; short-term disability; long-term disability; paid time off and holidays; flexible spending account; Wisconsin Retirement System; 403(b) and 457; employee assistance program; educational assistance; and employee wellness program.
