Job Number: R0026751Policy and Legislative AnalystKey Role:Assist with analyzing the development of policies, internal and external organization communications, information papers, presentations, and internal and external reports and responding to headquarters taskers or inquiries. Participate in and represent the organization during external meetings and task forces or special initiatives, as appropriate. Demonstrate oral and written communication expertise and work independently and in teams to interact with senior-level clients. Basic Qualifications:-3 years of experience with energy policy, legislative affairs, and communications -Experience in federal regulatory organizations-Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and a range of writing styles, including fact sheets, social media, and formal correspondence-Knowledge of federal energy policies regarding utilities, electricity distribution, generation, and storage-Knowledge of key state policies and structures for overseeing the approval of energy projects, including the role of public utility commissions-Knowledge of various energy technologies and generation assets-Knowledge of various research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, and design thinking-Ability to obtain a security clearance-BA or BS degree Additional Qualifications:-Experience with government consulting or contracting-Experience in the military or supporting the military-Experience in working with creative and communications staff to develop compelling presentations-Knowledge of the roles of federal and state entities in energy project approval-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-BA or BS degree in Public Administration, Policy, or Communications preferred; MA or MS degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing a plus Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.We’re an EOE that empowers our people—no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation,national origin, disability, or veteran status—to fearlessly drive change.CB14,
