Job Summary:Provides day-to-day support to the Development Director, responsible to maintain and ensure the integrity of the donor database; develop reports needed to inform decision making and measure progress, responsible to draft gift acknowledgements, develop and implement efficient office practices which include the management of gift accounts such a Cancer Care, Light-A-Candle and Hospice Funds, lead coordinator on all Foundation Events including Donor specific events. Preferred experience in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Donor Database management, meeting preparations (catering requests, room arrangements, board packets, etc.), ordering supplies, recording meeting minutes, preparing meeting agendas, tracking operating budget, recording expenses, tracking money in (donations) and money out (grants, etc.), tracking real-time funds, and preparing and recording deposits.Minimum Education:Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Marketing, Public Relations field, other related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum Work Experience:1 – 2 years’ experience in a business environment; previous foundation experience preferred.Required Skills:• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Good public speaking and interpersonal skills. • The ability to work with minimal supervision. • Proficient in Microsoft Office.Essential Functions:• Provide day-to-day support to the Development Director • Responsible to maintain and ensure the integrity of donor database; develop reports needed to inform decision making and measure progress • Maintain foundation, corporation and individual donor files.• Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate foundation and individual donors.• Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence. • Develop and implement efficient office practices which include the management of gift accounts such a Cancer Care, Light-A-Candle and Hospice Funds • Lead Coordinator on all Foundation Events including Donor specific events.• Track tax credit donations in the database and keep a file for each tax credit donor. • Prepare and record deposits. • Prepare payment for scholarships and fund\/program expenses. • Maintain guest lists, gather and prepare registration materials and other duties as assigned for fund-raising events. • Meeting preparations: catering, room arrangements, board packets, etc.• Record meeting minutes and maintain meeting binders for Joint - Commission inspections. • Track event expenditures and prepare financial reports for events. • Track department expenditures • Order supplies for the department. • Other duties as assigned by the Development Director.Functional DemandsPopulation Served:Adolescent, Adults, and Geriatric. Occasional reaching, handling, and fingering to complete paperwork, use telephone and computer. Constant talking, hearing, and seeing to interact with patients, visitors, and staff.Environmental ConditionsFrequent exposure to noise from computer, printers and telephones. Minimal exposure to electromagnetic fields. Minimal risk of injury due to proximity to moving parts on computer or printer. Minimal exposure to biohazardous materials. May be exposed to\/occasionally exposed to patient elements, i.e., accidents, injuries, and illnesses. Frequently required to function competently with multiple demands and tasks.
