We are looking for a savvy technology PR professional, at the Senior Account Executive level, to join Revere, a new agency backed by Edelman to focus on high-growth tech companies. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your media relations expertise, creative brand storytelling prowess, and understanding of the integral role public relations plays in all facets of technology. You will support communications programs on behalf of enterprise technology accounts, and will have the opportunity to participate in new business and marketing integration efforts.
A senior account executive is responsible for the supervision of account work performed by more junior staff. S/he will demonstrate the ability to manage up as well as manage across with her/his peers and mentor account team members. S/he will learn Revere’s various consulting processes/approaches, including media programs, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, social media campaigns and stakeholder mapping exercises and be able to support account teams in the execution of these processes for clients. Expected competencies include:
Demonstrate understanding of key client information, including general business strategy, industry trends and issues, products/ services, key opinion leaders, customers and competitors
Contribute to creation of communications plans to meet client objectives
Effectively handle all aspects of proactive and reactive media relations projects from initial planning stages to pitch development and placement, ensuring accurate message-pull through, with full command of AP style
Leverage existing relationships with technology and business journalists and develop new relationships on behalf of clients
Manage day-to-day client correspondence and drive ongoing client activities (i.e. weekly meetings, activity reports, etc.)
Play key role in developing key messages in keeping with clients’ objectives
Demonstrate the ability to write, edit and proofread to create high quality internal and external communications content
Demonstrate an understanding of the differences in writing styles depending on the outlet, channel and audience (online, social network, traditional media, etc.)
Demonstrate research abilities to support client programs
Coordinate and help plan media outreach programs including tours, events, conferences, VNR/B-roll, interviews and new media outreach
Demonstrate practical understanding of visual communications, desktop multimedia, social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these into client programs
Demonstrate an understanding of research techniques to assist with various consulting processes, including analysis of media coverage and online conversation (volume and tone), and identification and categorization of various stakeholders, including organizations and individuals to be engaged by clients
Communicate effectively with team members
Coach and support more junior staff by providing ongoing, constructive feedback
Demonstrate effective supervisory and effective task delegation abilities by setting clear expectations and deadlines, providing needed resources, monitoring progress and providing feedback
Aid in new business process including idea contribution, research and proposal preparation and potentially in-person pitch meetings
Assist with the development of accurate project budgets using the firm’s financial system, and effectively work within account budget parameters and deadlines
Commit to continuous learning; set and pursue stretch goals

The senior account executive must have at least three years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, media and publishing
S/he will have a proven ability to lead and manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously.
S/he will have a clear understanding of her/his clients’ businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners and other businesses/organizations, etc. Experience supporting enterprise technology accounts is highly preferred.
S/he will have demonstrated ability to help develop communications plans, implement public relations tactics and impart knowledge to junior account team members.
S/he should be able to perform well under pressure and be a team player.
S/he will have good research, writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to interact with clients professionally and maintain relationships with media members.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
