Bank of America Merchant Services is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer of Females, Minorities, Veterans and Disabled.\r\r\r\r\rThe Internal Communications Specialist plays an essential role on the Corporate Communications team and focuses on the development of internal communication plans and messages to inform, guide and activate Bank of America Merchant Services associates.\r\rThe individual in this role will create engaging content in the form of articles, videos, internal messages, thought leadership features and more that supports the company’s content strategy; provide periodic internal communications support to senior leaders; and support the department’s crisis communication response capabilities.\r\rThe individual in this role will report to the VP of Corporate Communications but will work alongside and also take direction on specific projects and tasks from members of the Corporate Communications team.\r\r\r\rEssential Functions:\r\r\rCraft internal messages, articles and multimedia features that inform and engage Bank of America Merchant Services’ associates (employees).\rDevelop summaries, FAQs, talking points and other communications collateral in support of product introduction, replacement and retirement initiatives.\rDevelop talking points, presentations and briefing documents on key initiatives for internal partners and senior leaders.\rWork closely with partners at Bank of America and First Data on key projects, issues management and content alignment.\rCollaborate with teammates throughout Enterprise Marketing & Communications on content, marketing and promotion plans.\rManage team communication channels (email accounts, intranet pages) and assets.\rAssist as needed with other public relations projects and activities.\rMaintain documentation for core communication and crisis communication activities.\rPerform other duties as required.\r\r\r\r\r
\r\r\r\r\r2-3 years of experience developing communications plans and content in fast-paced business environments.\rBachelor’s Degree in relevant field.\rExperience practicing communications in a corporate, agency or nonprofit setting.\rExceptional ability to write clearly, crisply and conversationally.\rFull command of A.P. Style.\rTeam-first collaboration style and proven ability to work effectively within diverse, fast-paced teams.\r\r\r\r\rDesired Skills\r\r\r\r\rExperience developing and executing a thoughtful, proactive and innovative communications strategy and plan.\rCan translate highly complex, technical subjects into relatable, compelling language.\rOutstanding verbal communication skills to drive successful outcomes with key audiences.\rRobust project management skills; painstaking attention to detail; and an ability to multitask and manage very tight deadlines.\rAbility to produce high-quality multimedia communications, especially video.\rExperience within Financial Services sector or business-to-business industries.\r\r\r\r Physical Requirements\r\r\rStandard office environment: work typically involves close visual acuity on a computer to access view, read, prepare and analyze data and other written communications.\r\rTravel\r\r\rApproximately 20% travel may be required to attend industry events and/or accompany company executives during external engagements.\r\r\rThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, performance standards, measurements, skills or requirements associated with this job.
