OverviewnThe New York office of Ogilvy is seeking a highly skilled, accomplished Public Relations professional with a minimum of 8 years corporate and financial PR experience. Candidates must have strong client management skills, superior presentation skills, strong media relations expertise and the ability to manage multiple national and local PR assignments. Candidates must also possess the ability to deliver and grow new business and possess a strong track record of managing Public Relations account teams that deliver superior results. Strong knowledge of media -- asset management, fintech (AI, blockchain, etc.), banking, personal finance, insurance -- for B2B and/or B2C audiences -- and solid reporter relationships are key.nResponsibilitiesnA vice president meets the following responsibilities and expectations:nn Ensures management of client expectations.n Develops and manages projects and programs, including strategies, implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, timelines and budgets.n Acts with a high degree of independence; holds responsibility for overall account relationships.n Responsible for maintaining and growing existing accounts.n Develops and delivers client presentations.n Establishes and maintains relationships with key client contacts and ensures that client/agency relationships exist on multiple levels and grow over time.n Leverages full resources of the firm and ensures the development of increased client/agency points of contact.n In managing account teams ensures that work is delegated to the appropriate experience levels within the team structure.n Provides proactive leadership to accounts, staff and clients.n Leads in articulating and applying agency vision and resources.nnProfessional Skillsnn Able to work in a highly integrated environmentn Corporate and Financial Public Relations experience, including traditional PR and digital channelsn Provides leadership in driving a positive work culture.n Is a positive role model and mentor for others in the firm.n Counsels at a senior level of client contact with minimal top cover and develops strategic solutions to client problems.n Displays strong analytical and problem-solving skills.n Understands business trends for industry segment/products.n Routinely displays strong people management and development skills.n Cultivates marketable body of functional or subject matter expertise.n Displays a content-focused mindset across ideation, development, editing and cross-channel promotion.n Attends and assists in preparing regular account u201ccheck-upsu201d with clients; presents accomplishments and plans for next period.n Develops and directs new business program development and presentations.n Delivers strong analyses, strategy and concepts to new program development.n Participates in professional or other relevant organizations to build awareness of the firm.n Identifies and leads the pursuit of new business opportunities within and across company offices and practice areas.nnQualificationsnOur ideal candidate will have a proven ability to financially manage large accounts, including experience accurately forecasting budgets and keeping projects on schedule. Must have strong financial services and B2B experience, with solid media relationships and working knowledge of social media. Must be a strategic thinker and a results-oriented leader who can develop a strong team who can work across traditional PR and digital channels. PR agency experience is mandatory.
