General Summary This position is responsible for building and maintaining referral relationships between healthcare providers/medical systems and the Alzheimer's Association. Primary activities include the promotion of: diagnosis for those at risk of dementia, referral of families to the Association, dementia training for health professionals, enrollment in Trial Match. Responsibilities include: achieving strategic goals, data tracking and reporting.Supervises: Interns and Volunteers Essential Job Functions Create and execute strategy to build relationships and develop partnerships that promote the expertise of the Alzheimer's Association.Maintain and expand contact database and track interactions.Maintain regular contact with healthcare providers to create awareness of, engagement with, and promotion of Alzheimer's Association programs.Recruit volunteers for Alzheimer's Association activities, including Walk, program delivery, and healthcare outreach.Collaboratively develop/edit education and marketing materials to meet current and emerging needs.Increase the number and frequency of healthcare provider referrals to the Alzheimer's Association.Increase the number of patients and families referred to the Alzheimer's Association by healthcare providers.Track and report statistical data.Other Job Functions:Serve as staff liaison on the Med-Sci CommitteeProvide information and support to Helpline Callers as scheduledIncrease Healthcare and industry related Walk to End Alzheimer's/Longest day teamsServe as a resource to the Regional Outreach Coordinators Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in public relations, public health, education or related field.Knowledge and Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Direct experience marketing to medical community.Excellent speaking skills and telephone presence.Professional attitude and appearance.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency data collection systems.Equipment Used:Personal computer, Telephone, Calculator, Fax machine, Copier,Audiovisual EquipmentPhysical and Mental Requirements:Ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff and external contactsAbility to work effectively with diverse populationsGood vision and hearing (corrected)Ability to work under pressureOther:Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekendsMust have reliable transportationMust have a valid Texas Driver's LicenseThis position description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the jobholder.
