This position can be based remotely in the U.S. or in EMEA near a major airport.

How will you make an impact?
The Global Senior Marketing Manager for Food Protection Culture Media will hold end-to-end accountability for the growth and commercial success of the products in Food Culture Media, functioning as a strategic business leader. He/she will be a team leader, providing direction, supervision, and professional development to a team of marketers. He/she will also work closely with other Marketing teams and the Commercial team, influencing and collaborating to implement product strategies and maximize the success of his/her area of responsibility..
What will you do?
Drive development of product positioning, including owning the brands’ Positioning Statement
Through deep customer insight realize 5 year strategic brand plans
Develop and own the annual marketing plan for product portfolio including agreeing AOP revenue and margin targets. Ensure effective implementation across the 4 P’s of marketing
Provide strategic direction for all brand-related projects to other Marketing & Commercial groups. These include product briefing documents, go-to-market plans, etc.
Visit key customers, developing trusted partner relationships to deeply understand their workflows, current and future business needs,
Translate deep understanding of customer workflows and customer needs into sharp customer insights. Use these insights to help shape product development pipelines and concept work.
Develop the product portfolio, product roadmaps, and New Product Initiatives in collaboration with R&D, ensuring robustness of Business Cases
Provide management and functional leadership for direct reports (brand managers), as well as indirect/collaborative leadership with professionals in a crossfunctional matrix and international organization (e.g. Marketing Communication, Digital Marketing, Regional Marketing, and Commercial teams.
How will you get here?
Scientific degree, PhD/ MBA preferred in relevant discipline
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Marketing of relevant products and services
Strong commercial track record in marketing and product management across the product lifecycle
Strong track record and understanding of marketing relevant products and services
Able to successfully lead teams
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrated success in product development pipeline – should have successfully launched a major innovative product from product idea to commercial rollout
Strong track record of driving improvement in business performance
Demonstrated achievement in managing Marketing professionals
Significant experience in global/international business
Experience in Digital Marketing techniques to drive performance would be an advantage
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work streams
Ability to listen and influence across teams (without direct authority)
Willingness to travel (25-35%)
