Education or experience in program management, marketing, communications, website design, or related fields preferred. Experience in a health care environment and community outreach a plus. Hands-on, proven experience working with web technologies such as blogging, podcasting, RSS, online communities, social networking, and content\/contact management a plus. Job Duties 1. Coordinates a department's online presence: a)Produces, optimizes, publishes, evaluates, organizes, and manages department content across multiple UT Southwestern digital and content management platforms and sites, including (but not limited to): Health System Portal;;; and Intranet.b)Recommends and implements marketing strategies to achieve Department goals.c)Ensures department online content supports SEO goals, University brand standards, and web style guidelines.d)Updates and maintains department content on external sites.e)Serves as Department lead regarding online reputation management and market research. Analyzes results and develops marketing strategies.f)Creates system of regular review of department content on internal and external websites.g)Works closely with Web Services as necessary to plan and develop web content.h)Works closely with the Digital team to understand and analyze digital paid media efforts.i)Reports analytics of digital efforts to the department team and chair.j)Monitors Department progress\/efforts during digital marketing campaigns to promote the department's services.k)Attends institutional trainings as necessary for new content management systems. 2.Coordinates a department's social media presencea)Partners with the Digital and Social media teams to ensure that the department has a large social media footprint to grow awareness and engagement.b)Develops and implements a relevant social media strategy and framework in alignment with Department leadership and the Institutional social media strategy.c)Creates and maintains day-to-day operation of the departments social media channels and blogs.d)Works with the Digital content team to write, publish, and amplify new blog articles.e)Develops, curates, and posts content promoting the department, including its faculty, and patient servicesf)Manages\/moderates responses to patient\/consumer-generated social media posts in conjunction with Department leadership.g)Creates and oversees an editorial calendar for department posts; proactively plans digital content to align with Departmental leadership's goals.h)Formulates official response to department-related news under Department leadership.i)Adheres to institutional best practice guidelines for social media.j)Works closely with Web Services as necessary to promote the department across institutional social media channels.k)Works with department manager to assess budgetary needs for social media campaigns. 3.Serves as Department subject matter expert on department specific online presence across social media platforms or websites. 4.Assists department manager with marketing materials for large department events (balls, round-up, etc.).5.
