Where Care Meets Career.Community Outreach Coordinator ResponsibilitiesCoordinates all outreach activities for the workforce center to engage participants in education, employment and training services provided through the center.Essential Job Responsibilities:Works with management to establish outreach and recruitment targets and plans. Directly conducts and/or coordinates all activities in the plan with Team Members.Identifies referral organizations and establishes methodologies for making appropriate referral to the program.Establishes strong relationships with potential referral partners and maintains regular contact for purposes of providing program information and updates and soliciting referrals.Conducts community outreach to identify and engage potential program participants in program activities.Makes presentations about the program to community groups, churches, social service organization staff and their participants to promote enrollment.Tracks and reports on all activities and status of pipeline of potential enrollees. Trains and supports center staff on messaging to potential participants seeking center services.Assists team members with coordinating on-site hiring events and job fairs.Assists team members with coordinating special events.Additional duties as assigned.Specific RequirementsKnowledgeable of business, community and current economic environment for the local area.Knowledge of effective marketing and community outreach techniques and strategies.Strong presentation skills with public speaking experience. and demonstrated ability to communicate with people from diverse cultures and customs.Ability to plan and organize workflow.Strong organizational/administrative skills.Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated customer service skills.Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources.Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends.Friendly, professional demeanor.
