Description Weber Shandwick Detroit is seeking a talented, digital savvy and eager-to-learn social media intern to join our digital team. This paid internship will provide a true learning experience, along with the opportunity to observe and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Chevrolet social media team. DESCRIPTION & DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: \u2022 Monitor owned channels using social media tools to assign, dismiss and appropriately evaluate engagements from community \u2022 Conduct social media research \u2022 Identify and escalate trending topics and content to larger team \u2022 Remain current on industry and cultural trends and technology, and look for opportunities to incorporate them into creative concepts \u2022 Participate in agency brainstorms \u2022 Support team members in community management and engagement with consumers \u2022 Research automotive market and identify areas of opportunity for Chevrolet brand \u2022 Pull together weekly and monthly reports on digital performance \u2022 Monitor owned channels during high-traffic periods and events; support community managers during event activations and digital campaigns Qualifications SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: \u2022 Passion for creative storytelling \u2022 Previous community management experience \u2022 Awareness of social media platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram; bonus points for experience working with Crimson Hexagon and Spredfast \u2022 Ability to work in a team and successfully incorporate feedback from multiple sources \u2022 Strong writing and verbal communication skills \u2022 Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively \u2022 Bonus points for real-world experience \u2022 Excellent research skills \u2022 Proven writing ability and high level of comfort writing short effective copy \u2022 Enjoyment in finding details in the data EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Current student working toward bachelor\u2019s degree in public relations, journalism, professional writing, digital marketing, advertising or creative field.
