Description Summary

This position is responsible for strategic direction and goals related to the strategy, design, development, delivery and evaluation of sales administration, sales process optimization, sales program implementation, and sales training. This position manages support functions essential to sales force and account management productivity. These include implementation of sales organization-impacting initiatives, efficient allocation of technology, support, and training resources impacting the sales organization and accountability for accurate and on-time reporting essential for sales organization effectiveness and achievement of strategic objectives.

Accountabilities

*Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.

*Create and implement strategic sales and account management methodologies and programs, which lead to maximum individual and channel sales performance.

*Partner with sales leadership, sales associates and account management to systematically identify performance gaps and recommend/implement solutions. 

*Oversees creation, coordination and delivery of sales training to sales and account management personnel.

*Manages sales operations department including interviewing and hiring employees following required EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines and ensures employees receive the proper training. Manages employees and is responsible for performance evaluations, coaching, skill and career development, policy administration, performance management and behavior, employee relations and cost control.

*Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. 

*Implements enabling technologies, including CRM, to sales and account management teams. Monitors the assigned sales organization’s compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data.

*Work cross functionally with sales, account management, product development and marketing to determine effective content and messaging strategies.

Requirements

*Acceptance of this position requires signing an Agreement Regarding Non-Disclosure of Confidential Information and Non-Competition as a condition of employment.

*Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or related and 5 years of relevant experience to the accountabilities or 9 years of the same in lieu of a degree. 

*3 years staff, team lead or project lead experience.

*Knowledge of training and development strategies, programs and measurables.

*Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects across functions.

*Well-developed writing skills in creating presentations, executive proposals and employee communications.

*Demonstrated abilities to develop and deliver presentations to large groups and executives.

*Strong organizational planning and execution skills.

Preferred Requirements

*Health Plan experience

*MBA preferred 

*Experience working with CRM systems, sales technology tools, sales and account management prospecting programs and strategic use of those programs.
