\r\rJOB SUMMARY\rThis role is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communication strategies for the Americas North region of the broader Americas Region. Working closely with Americas North leadership team, this position plays a key, role enabling the execution of the Americas’ business strategy within the geography and assisting the Director of Communications in supporting and enabling the cultural transformation for the Americas, via strategic communication leadership and execution. Scope includes executive and employee communication, media relations, crisis communications and issues management. This position reports to the Director of Communication for The Americas. \r \rPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES\r\r Ensure the “say\ and “do\ are aligned, driving a consistent set of behaviors that support the desired culture and business goals.\r Serve as a champion for change and cultural transformation, applying smart communication strategies and change management principles to enable speed and effectiveness within the organization.\r Move the communication culture from one that largely cascades and disseminates information to one that is highly networked, multidirectional and builds employee advocacy. \r Enable the delivery of the enterprise strategy at the regional level by relentlessly communicating the strategic ambitions, priorities, vision, and values, ensuring North American leaders make connections that allow employees to understand how they contribute. \r Develop systems and processes that ensure the effective management and sequencing of all internal and external communication.\r Establish and manage various communication tools, ensuring the appropriate mix of channels based on audience.\r Serve as an external spokesperson for the region in close coordination with enterprise communications.\r Translate complex business goals and initiatives into simple, relevant and actionable messages.\r Provide communication expertise, counsel, and support for major change initiatives and transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, policy changes and labor relations.\r Enhance communication skills of leaders by providing training and tools that facilitate multi-directional communication. \r Establish communication standards of excellence, identifying communication-related gaps and barriers to performance. Serve as an expert in written, verbal and electronic communication.\r Use storytelling and “peer-to-peer\ sharing to help accelerate the change agenda, building engagement, pride and recognition along the way. \r Develop communication-related performance targets and quantifiably measure progress.\r Identify and secure all necessary internal and external resources (agency or freelance support) to execute communication initiatives with excellence.\r Work closely with enterprise communications to ensure message consistency. \r\r (All other duties as assigned)\rREQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES\r\r Excellent written and oral communication skills\r Demonstrates the ability to gather and understand employee insights and motivations, and tailors communication effectively to create impact\r Proven project management experience and results\r Strong enrolling and influencing skills and executive presence\r Knowledge of and experience in change management, communication measurement, and communication process improvement\r Shapes function and broader organization to focus on outcome-based communications\r Financial acumen\r\r\r\r
