The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for storytelling and inbound marketing, and knowledge of how to leverage video and storytelling materials to support student recruitment and branding goals, creating a best-in-class learner experience.EdPlus is a central enterprise unit for ASU focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce barriers to achievement in higher education. We advance the economic, social, cultural and overall health of the local, national and international communities served by ASU.Essential DutiesConceiving, writing, directing, producing and editing stories for multimedia needs across traditional, digital and social platforms to drive new leads for student recruitment and tell stories in heartfelt and exciting new ways. Overseeing the production of high-quality, engaging, short- and long-format video content by conducting research, scheduling production activity, coordinating location and logistics, maintaining an overall production schedule and directing edits and revisions. Editing and rewriting existing scripts, and proofing materials for accuracy, style, brand and storytelling goals, recommending changes when necessary. Understanding a variety of marketing channels and how to engage audiences. This position is responsible for writing scripts, templatizing and producing webinars, creating story arcs for interviews and visual storytelling in video, audio and photography for EdPlus products and channels.Assisting in identifying opportunities and leveraging research and course content releases to develop marketing content into multi-touch, multi-channel plans including email, advertising, partner marketing, PR, social media, sponsorships and events.Monitoring and coordinating photography, video, artwork and layout in preparation for publishing. Tracking content performance analytics and adjusting future production accordingly for optimal consumption and effectiveness. Contributing storytelling video production to social media efforts and asset management for social channels by producing optimized content to drive interaction and engagement that supports student recruitment and branding goals.Creating a workflow schedule for each project and coordinating the movement of content development, design, delivery and production. Working in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines with a special focus on turning complex information into simple, accessible and compelling marketing content.Collaborating closely with multimedia team members for filming, and working with project owners within the departments across EdPlus to help define the brand story and optimize the integration of video content and storytelling across marketing channels.Meeting with internal stakeholders to discuss themes and objectives for an assignment, targeting audience and desired outcomes in order to create on-brand, on-strategy compelling creative work for stakeholders. Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with team members, project managers, internal creative resources and other outside constituencies to accomplish project goals and content needs. Ensuring compliance with project description specifications, editing post-p roduction, content accuracy and department requirements. Collaborating, consulting and actively participating in new idea generation, brainstorming concepts and making recommendations for creative ways to accomplish goals. Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field AND five years of content marketing, marketing communications, marketing project management or related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
