Work you'll do
As a Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory Public Relations Manager, you will create and execute innovative external communications strategies that build and protect its brand and reputation, position its professionals as thought leaders, ensure consistent messaging, and position the business to win more in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with senior leadership, marketing, internal communications and other Deloitte PR professionals to manage external communications activities, provide strategic counsel on news launches and media train spokespeople.
Develop media materials inclusive of press releases, pitches, talking points, articles, key data analysis reports and social media sharing content, and guide strategy for their launches.
Proactively pitch media to build and nurture relationships with media contacts, oversee the response to inquiries, and identify public relations opportunities and to garner news coverage.
Develop and execute media relations campaigns for practice areas that could span regulatory and legal support, accounting and internal controls, transactions and M&A, as well as cybersecurity and strategic risk management.
Help manage external PR agencies.

Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory's communications team provides value to the U.S. Firms by delivering innovative communications strategies and approaches for internal and external audiences. We build and protect our brand, and help our leaders influence positive behaviors, drive change, reinforce successes, and promote a strong sense of community through coordinated, consistent messaging. From concept to execution, we help our leaders reach their audience and achieve a consistent standard of excellence using proven communication methodologies.
Qualifications
Required:
Knowledge of public relations fundamentals with experience leading and managing projects for professional services or B2B organizations.
Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship development skills.
Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously, coordinating with multiple groups while consistently delivering high-quality results.
Strong writing skills for press material development, inclusive of press releases, pitches, talking points, articles, research development and launches and social media content.
Comfort working largely remotely with teams spanning multiple time zones.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Bachelor's degree, ideally with a focus in public relations, journalism, English or a related business field.
Prior experience working on a largely virtual team.
A minimum of 10 years of public relations experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Travel up to 20% (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
