(CAA) is seeking an organized and motivated Project Manager who will be responsible for leading marketing and communications supporting CAA’s Alumni Engagement Expansion (AEX) initiative. The Project Manager will play a key role in contributing to efforts of the MarCom department that further engagement. The ideal candidate is team-oriented with strong communication (written and verbal) and creation skills — a talented creative professional with an interest in connecting people through digital and social media, a deep love of organization, and a commitment to seeing projects through to completion.

  • Manage the creation and dissemination of AEX communications to the campus communityrnt

     

    rntWrite strong, inspiring copy that promotes engagement with CAA programsrnrnt

     

    rntWordsmith, edit, and proofread communications for brand voicernrnt

     

    rntLead the coordination of digital marketing and promotion for key programs and events, from invitation to registration to day-of promotion to surveysrnrnt

     

    rntServe as brand expert, reviewing and editing content and communications for faithfulnessrnrnt

Digital Content Creation

  • Create and execute content strategies that promote engagement and growth on social media platforms and through digital channelsrnt

     

    rntOwn a digital editorial calendar, and constantly look for items to publish or create in support of promotional effortsrnrnt

     

    rntCollaborate with program staff to create and optimize social posts and online content that promote CAA initiatives and programsrnrnt

     

    rntCollaborate with house designers to create compelling articles, posts, and graphicsrnrnt

     

    rntSubmit story ideas and create content for in-house section of California Magazine and other recurring communications to the alumni communityrnrnt

     

    rntMaintain website content, identifying areas to develop or update, and creating or collecting content and imageryrnrnt

     

    rntMonitor social communities and cover events for social media during select non-business hoursrnrnt

Reporting and Metrics

  • Compile and share monthly digital engagement progress reports; liaise with departments and report out on news and developmentsrnt

     

    rntCollaborate with Data Coordinator to target and segment audiences for email communications, event invitations, social posts, and other outreachrnrnt

     

    rntUtilize analytics tools to benchmark campaign performance and target progressrnrnt

     

    rntDevelop and manage an editorial marketing calendar for communications on behalf of CAA’s Alumni Chapter networkrnrnt

     

    rntAnalyze survey data, translating findings into actionable itemsrnrnt

     

    rntOversee a consistent look and feel for CAA’s Alumni Chapters’ online presences; provide direction and education on content creationrnrnt

     

    rntAnalyze and report on email and web metrics to track performance across campaigns, assess promotional ROI, and provide actionable feedback to programsrnrnt

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experiencernt

     

    rntFamiliarity with the UC Berkeley communityrnrnt

     

    rntExceptional written and verbal communication skillsrnrnt

     

    rntProficiency with major social media platforms and solid understanding of what makes quality social contentrnrnt

     

    rntStrong knowledge of email marketing techniques; experience using email marketing tools such as MailChimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar to create and deploy email campaignsrnrnt

     

    rntWorking knowledge of HTML and Google Analytics, familiarity with Windows environmentsrnrnt

     

    rntWorking knowledge of technical programs used for designing engaging and effective communicationsrnrnt

     

    rntDedication to detail, with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectivelyrnrnt

     

    rntAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentrnrnt

     

    rntFlexibility and adaptability in work schedule to permit evening and weekend commitmentsrnrnt

SUPERVISION and CLASSIFICATION
rnThis position reports to the Senior Director, Marketing and Communications and is classified as an at-will, full-time, exempt position. This position is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal through 12/31/2019. Appointment term not to exceed 12/31/2019.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
