What you will do:
The Consumer and Market Insights (CMI) Analyst – Research & Strategy supports the Sales, Brand/Category Management, Marketing, and R&D teams by conducting research and translating data from various syndicated and primary research sources into a seamless and compelling narrative to drive business outcomes. This is an analytical role that requires excellent analytical, communication, project management, and relationship building skills. Attention to detail is critical. This role also requires the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously with timely delivery of assigned tasks.
Here’s a day in the life:
Maintain syndicated data portal (e.g., Datassential, NPD, Technomic), pull and analyze data, and deliver insights, demonstrating excellent ability to integrate data inputs from desperate sources into a cohesive narrative to support business objectives
Demonstrate excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
Demonstrate excellent ability to manage time and work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously with timely delivery of assigned tasks
Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including listening skills and data-driven storytelling skills
Act as a team player and able to interact with staff at all levels of the company, maintaining effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public
Interest in consumer insights, sales enablement, strategic planning, building processes, team building, and evolving your skillset
Develop and lead primary research to drive business priorities including innovation, strategic platforms, marketing strategy, and retailer partnerships
Partner with account teams, Customer Development, Category Management, and Marketing to develop account facing presentations that align Customer and Tillamook business priorities
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology or related field is required
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in syndicated or primary data analysis is required, ideally in CPG and/or food & beverage industry
Experience with IRI, Nielsen, Datassential, NPD, and/or Technomic syndicated data analysis is desired
Experience designing, fielding, and reporting primary research is desired
