Facebook is looking for a leader to manage Diversity and Inclusion Communications for the Corporate Communications team. The ideal candidate will have agency and in-house experience managing a wide range of corporate reputation issues, spanning both proactive and reactive efforts. This person should have a passion for building a more diverse world, as well as storytelling and strategic, data-driven communications. This role will involve managing the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, including executives and media. The ideal candidate has strong media relationships across tech, business, and diverse publications, executive communications skills and experience building and executing on longer term creative, proactive communications campaigns.
This leader will also be responsible for managing the executive profile of Facebook’s Chief Diversity Officer. The ideal candidate has strong media relations skills (with significant experience planning strategic campaigns focused on D&I) and is a strategic and creative thinker. This individual excels at working collaboratively with high-level executives and colleagues and consistently delivers high-quality work even under severe time constraints and pressure. Experience supporting leaders in technology, business is ideal, as is the ability to relentlessly source stories and creative ideas.

Build and execute integrated communications strategy/plan on Facebook's diversity efforts
Advise executives on external and internal communications related to diversity
Manage daily incoming media inquiries relating to executives
Have awareness of and carefully assess all philanthropic and programmatic initiatives aimed at diverse communities
Generate and implement creative, proactive ideas and media opportunities for how executive shows up publicly
Help create, plan and track social media posts and profiles for executive
Develop, build relationships with key media (including consumer/product, tech, broadcast, and policy), and be able to represent and defend executive’s thinking and reputation with reporters and manage responses for complex news stories
Work cross-functionally with Communications, Policy, HR, Product and Marketing teams to outline and develop impactful scripts, op-eds, posts, and other materials for executive
Work with communication teams to identify opportunities to promote and distribute appearances and related materials to increase visibility and impact
Develop strategies to track, monitor and communicate high-impact issues affecting the business
12 years of professional experience in communications or public relations
Experience working with diverse communities
Experience in working with, and creating and editing for C-suite leadership
Strategic diversity comms planning experience
Experience working cross-functionally, including with policy, HR, product, legal and marketing teams
