The Director Marketing & Development is responsible for managing and coordinating marketing, media relations, community relations, public relations and fund development activities of Goodwill Industries, Goodwill Service Connection and the Goodwill Foundation. This position reports to the President-CEO. Duties: Develop and monitor department budgets, ensuring revenue goals are met. Manage expenses within budget. Coordinate and oversee fund development activities which may include special events, grant writing, direct mail, bequests, federated campaigns, planned giving and employee payroll deductions. Develop and maintain acknowledgment systems for financial contributors. Responsible for maintenance of donor database to include all key stakeholders. Coordinate and participate in Agency public relations activities at the Corporate level. Promote and support Agency branding and the President\/CEO\u2019s community profile. Responsible for Media Relations including interviews, press releases, crisis communications, public service announcements. Develop and execute retail marketing and donation campaigns in conjunction with the Director of Retail Sales. Responsible for development of agency marketing materials including but not limited to production of agency Good News Bulletins, Direct Mail pieces, Program Evaluation and Annual Report. Coordinate and oversee the development and maintenance of all agency social media sites such as the agency website, Facebook and Instagram. Develop and monitor policies and procedures related to marketing, public relations and fund raising. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate activities and events. B.A. Degree in public relations, marketing, communications or other related field. Five years' experience in marketing, public relations and development.
