Job Description:
POSITION INFORMATION:
Collaborates with the Program Manager, Project Coordinator, Principal Investigator, organizations, peers, and volunteers to identify, plan, and implement strategies for various programs for the ONIE Project.   Contributes to the design, development,  implementation, and evaluation of the educational programs with an emphasis to the Oklahoma Hispanic Population ONIE is committed to providing employees with educational and professional experience, significant responsibility that expands with experience, and a congenial team atmosphere.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Translation. 
Writing, editing and translating from English to Spanish and vice versa. 
Strategies. 
Assist with developing outreach strategies and marketing tools to reach out to the appropriate audience. 
Collaborates.
Collaborates with program teams, community organizations, peers, and volunteers in the execution of events and activities. Contributes to the design and implementation of the program components. 
Resource Identification.
  Identify the availability of services and resources, identify local and state policies related to the availability of and access to services, and identify opportunities to impact relevant policies. 
Development.
Provides educational program development, delivery, and evaluation. Implement and manage community based health projects involving community partners and stakeholders. 
Report Preparation.
Prepares monthly reports of all activities performed and submits to management. May conduct literature searches relevant to the program. 
Evaluation.
 May assist with program evaluation and recommend improvements if necessary. 
Availability. 
Available beyond typical workday for community programming and research. 
As Needed. 
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. 
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, Nutrition, or closely related health field.
Experience:
12 months experience in community outreach activities and/or health education.
Preferred:
  Master’s Degree in Health Promotion and coursework in Social Marketing
Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of community outreach practices. 
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting. 
Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English & Spanish. 
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. 
Demonstrates interest in promoting nutrition and physical activity through Social Marketing. 
Demonstrates interest in working with low-income populations.
Computer proficiency including use of e-mail, Internet searches, and Microsoft Office Product applications. 
Detail oriented and demonstrated organization skills. 
Basic qualitative and quantitative research skills.
