SUMMARY

Responsible for guiding the

positioning, messaging and channel strategies for an orthopeadics franchise and

its corresponding products.

 

Responsible for managing all project

requests through the Global MarComm process.

 

Ensures that all projects are

delivered on time, on strategy and on budget. Continuously interfaces with the

MRM system (Orbis) to ensure projects follow the proper workflow and approval

processes.

 

Acts as the liaison between the

creative department and the client with regard to providing production

schedules, critical milestones and general updates. Ensures accuracy and

maintenance of literature inventory including online literature ordering

system. 

 

Other responsibilities include:

- Participate/Lead Strategy,

Positioning and Messaging planning and execution with marketing teams

- Build global reach of the produced

promotional assets

- Facilitate briefings, reviews with

internal staff and partners

- Keep creative and production staff

apprised of project priorities and due dates

- Expedite “rush” projects while

maintaining orderly flow of daily work

- Recommend and implement process

improvements

- Keeps others informed of conflicts

and delays

- Obtain deadline extensions when

necessary

- Ensure timely release of all

artwork with appropriate documentation to outside sources

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Works in conjunction with the

marketing team to develop positioning, messaging and distribution channels that

will differentiate our products from the competition. 

 

Provide guidance and insight with

regard to budgets, timelines and requirements.

 

Collaborate with team members to

develop a project plan (required tasks & milestones). Serve as the main

point of contact between the creative team, Marketing Directors/Managers and

outside agencies (when applicable) ensuring that projects are on strategy, on

time and on budget. Initiate and lead meetings to discuss creative briefs and

project direction.

 

Ongoing prioritization of jobs as

dictated by deadlines while working within established MarComm process.

Bi-weekly communication of project status.

 

Ensure that all literature has been

approved by internal reviewers (Brandspace approval process) and that files

have been uploaded and released in appropriate systems Brandspace/SAP/Matrix

prior to beginning the production process

 

Primary liaison between

printer/fulfillment vendor for maintenance of literature inventory and

corresponding website. Correspond with global selling organization/internal

departments regarding lit website access, inventory questions, order status,

etc.

 

Serves as backup for other personnel

in department, handling requests and troubleshooting problem situations. May be

called upon to train or assist other personnel in department.

Travel 10%.

Education     

BS or BA degree in Business

Administration, Marketing or Communications

 

Experience   

Minimum of five plus (5 ) years'

experience with marketing communications/advertising work preferably within the

Healthcare industry.

 

Prior Advertising Agency and brand

management experience a plus.

 

Must be proficient in: MS Office

with working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
