The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for social media and digital marketing initiatives in the advertising media space for Katz Media Group. This social media specialist must have superb written skills, an impeccable attention to detail and must have the ability to craft a social voice for all Katz divisions that is authentic, elevated and relatable. The candidate must also have digital marketing skills and is able to create innovative, impactful, brand-elevating content including, but not limited to images and video. While the Social Media Coordinator is fluent in all social channels, this candidate has a deep working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube.
Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to the Social Media Coordinator’s success. An essential component is communicating the Company’s brand in a positive, authentic way that will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected buyers.
Work with internal team members to execute cohesive and engaging social media strategy across all Katz accounts
Execute Katz’s social media messages and interactions across all social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, YouTube, Tumblr, Google , Reddit and others
Development of brand awareness and online reputation
Contribute innovative content for posting on all designated social media outlets
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and generation of inbound traffic
Create social media strategies, calendars and content on an on-going basis
Maintain a social editorial content calendar
Manage daily social postings with creative content
Deliberate planning and goal setting
Manage reporting and metrics on all social media activity
Measure results through effective reporting to continually evaluate the effectiveness of the social media strategies and develop actionable insights to evolve engagement strategies
Monitor and ensure growth and engagement for all social media channels on a daily basis
Knowledgeable in social media tools and programs to increase followers and engagement, manage daily postings, etc.
Competitive analysis, research, best practices, new tools, blogger & influencer identification, outreach copy development
Aggressively monitor our direct competitors to identify social strategies that are effective or initiatives we should quickly adopt for Katz
Work closely with the creative team, business managers and human resources
Qualifications and Skills
At least 2 years of work experience in social media or digital journalism. Past experience in media or entertainment space preferred.
Knowledge of social networking platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, YouTube, Periscope, Meerkat, Google , Pinterest, Tumblr, and Reddit
Highly well-versed in social media marketing including earned and paid content, ad creation and spend, analytics, metrics, content creation, posting, etc.
Excellent organizational skills
Superb copywriting skills
Creative, out-of-the-box thinking
Possess a balance of creativity with good analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple personalities and communication styles
Outstanding oral, written and presentation skills
Strong familiarity with key social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.
Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop & InDesign, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Google certified is a plus
Interest in the advertising media industry
The ability to work quickly and shift gears on a dime
A healthy appetite for music, television, pop culture, entertainment, news and current events
Minimum 4 year college degree. A degree in Marketing, Media, Communications or Journalism is preferred.
