Marketing Communications Manager - Blog & Social Media Strategist

The Cloud and Enterprise Social Media and Blog Team is responsible for managing 100 social media properties and 13 marketing blogs serving ten target audiences. We are looking for a B2B social marketer to drive the success of the Mixed Reality blog and social channels.
The ideal candidate is battle-tested and enthusiastic and can strategically operate in both the blog and social worlds, from planning to execution. This individual should have demonstrated experience influencing stakeholders by sharing subject matter expertise, leveraging data, and earning trust. They should know how to build concise, high-impact PowerPoint decks to present to senior-level directors and general managers. This person needs to be comfortable both planning and executing, be on the look-out for opportunities to optimize processes and have a can-do attitude.
Subject Matter Expertise
Act as the key point of contact for key stakeholders answering stakeholder questions and responding to amplification and publishing requests
Evangelize B2B technology blogging and social media best practices among key stakeholders including public relations, product marketing, integrated marketing, analyst relations, and engineering
Stay up-to-date on business blogging and social media trends and topics: existing blog and social platforms and new channels entering the mix, best practices, competitorsâ€™ channel strategy and tactics
Lead and manage additional integrated marketing projects and initiatives as needed, based on team priorities
Provide strategic recommendations for organic blog and social media channel use and optimization based on channel performance data and customer insights across target audiences
Maintain processes and governance and help maintain best practices documentation pertaining to strategies, tactics, and operations for blog and social channels
Own the editorial calendar and programming for the Mixed Reality blog and execution of social amplification programming for the Mixed Reality social media channels
Measure and report performance against goals and objectives and collaborate with analytics resources to interpret data into actionable insights
Run monthly meetings with Mixed Reality blog editorial council to review performance data, discuss upcoming content, and innovate on existing approach
Manage multiple vendors responsible for day-to-day execution
Subject matter expertise in B2B technology blog operations and the use social media channels for business (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Spiceworks, Reddit, YouTube, etc.)
Proven experience using content management systems such as WordPress and Orchard Project, as well as marketing collaboration tools such as Opal and Sprinklr
Process improvement mindset with the passion to develop strategic process management systems and the aptitude to improve upon existing operations
Effective communication tactics to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to enroll team, peer, and management support
Detail-oriented with the ability to operate comfortably between 10,000 feet and 10 feet
Natural leader with the ability to help, educate, and influence stakeholders within high levels of ambiguity and tight deadlines
Collaborative work style that enables smooth partnering with diverse groups of stakeholders across the company to ensure successful planning and execution
Strategic mindset including interpreting data outputs to inform strategy and modify tactics
Ability to translate topics and data into succinct and effective communications: email, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Expert use of SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Skype for Business, and Outlook tools

Proven ability to manage virtual vendor teams

Strong team-player and proven collaboration skills and experience in successfully working across multiple groups to achieve business goals
Self-motivated and directed person, requiring minimal supervision for successful assignment completion
Business blogging and social media acumen
Some travel required
Experience managing paid social media efforts
3 yearsâ€™ experience in managing blog and social programs in Fortune 50 organizations
Bachelorâ€™s Degree or equivalent experience of 5 years marketing experience
