Additionally, the Associate Director provides ownership of the development, management and coordination of the Communicators Network program. The program is designed to support campus communicators with educational and professional development opportunities, updates about the university marketing and communications efforts and a venue to share and exchange ideas. The successful candidate serves as a key member of the Integrated Communications team. This individual brings energy and enthusiasm to promoting and protecting the University of South Carolina brand through collaboration within Communications and Public Affairs, the university and the community. Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions) Master\u2019s degree in communications or related field and 4 years public relations experience in an administrative capacity, or bachelor\u2019s degree and 6 years related experience. Preferred Qualifications Master\u2019s degree in communications or related field and 8 years of public relations experience in an administrative capacity, or Bachelor\u2019s degree and 10 years of public relations experience in an administrative capacity. Knowledge\/Skills\/Abilities The Associate Director of Integrated Communications Strategy is an organized, enterprising self-starter with executive presence. Must be adaptable to all technology including production management and team collaboration software.\u00a0 Project management skills and a proven ability to meet tight deadlines are a must. Verbal communication skills and an open, collaborative approach are necessary for success in this role.\u00a0Helps define problems first, then solves them through strategic thought and planning. Must possess ability to work in a rapid-response team environment. A desire to develop professionally and keep abreast of developing trends in communications is required. Demonstrated experience in researching topics, writing and editing varied types of content is important.
