The Internal Communications Coordinator is responsible for fostering associate engagement across all levels of the organization through the planning and execution of ACA events, award and recognition programs, volunteer and community relations, and corporate communication.

Develop and execute new and ongoing communications about programs and events in order to support an environment where associates are valued. Focus areas include:

Major associate events

Associate recognition and awards

Ancillary benefits

Volunteerism

Community giving, including fundraising campaigns, in-kind donation drives, etc.

Manage proposals, budgets, timelines, and creative design to ensure programs are executed in an effective, quality manner while handling multiple priorities, maintaining attention to detail and meeting established deadlines.

Develop the design, copy, and production of internal, organizational-wide communications, event and program materials, including the associate newsletter, intranet, posters, etc.

Design graphics for associate materials, posters, and digital communications, including social media, content televisions, video blogs, and infographics as needed.

Develop and oversee the corporate events calendar to ensure proper planning and execution.

Work closely with external vendors and internal department leaders to manage the development, production, and distribution of ACA branded promotional and collateral materials.

Support associate recognition strategies by leading and contributing to initiatives.

Strengthen relationships with community organizations and leaders to support ACA’s giving strategy.

Other tasks as assigned

2 years of corporate communications experience required.

2 years of corporate event planning experience strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Human Resources or similar degree.

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (In Design, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Photoshop, etc.)

Strong interpersonal, networking, written and verbal communication abilities.

Proven ability to communicate at all levels, understanding the implications of communication on various audiences.

Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines is essential.

Demonstrated ability to write and edit clear, engaging, and grammatically correct content.

Demonstrated oral communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to convey information in a clear, concise way, synthesizing information and presenting it to others.

Creative thinking and proven systematic organizational skills to work independently without supervision, determine workload priorities to complete work in a timely manner, and identify and resolve problems.

Proven skill at working in a collaborative environment, including interpersonal skills to interact sensitively with colleagues at various levels within the organization, community leaders, and vendors.

Ability to thrive in a highly visible role by building relationships across the organization.
