JOB TITLE: Employment Specialist - Job Coach (Tennessee Valley and Tri-County) Career Services EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, with experience in rehabilitation, marketing, public relations, human resources, or a related field.EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Prior work experience in rehabilitation or related area with emphasis on job development, job placement, follow-up, and training. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Explorer, Outlook and general computer operation. Proficiency in general reporting and basic case file management. Must be physically capable of performing all job assignments and duties. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments, effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision and complete American Red Cross certifications for Occupational Safety (STOP), CPR and First Aid.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must be authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating agency vehicle, have good driving record, meet and the requirements of the company's safety fleet program, have a valid Alabama driver's license and/or required level of personal auto insurance. Must successfully complete a background check and receive favorable pre-employment drug screen results. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide employment readiness training (group and individual), assessment, job development, job placement, job coaching and follow-up for referred persons. * Serve as facility consultant in regard to employment readiness of program participants. * Serve as primary resource person for information on current employer needs. * Maintain reporting and records as outlined by policy, referral source and accreditation requirements. * Participate in fund raising activities. * Provide services in response to referral source needs and in regard to internal financial requirements in a timely manner. * Represent Phoenix in the business community by involvement in civic and professional organizations. * Provide information as requested for various statistical requirements. * Complete Training as defined by the Phoenix Professional Development Plan. * Other duties as assigned.
