Position summary Manager of Communication and Engagement is responsible for leading internal and communications and employee engagement initiatives for the Americas Region. He\/she will maintain Americas regional communications, lead the writing, editing and polishing of communications materials and manage writing and design staff. He\/she will ensure the timely execution of all campaign launches and perform analysis of the effectiveness of all internal communications He \/she will also be responsible for establishing the engagement plans, Employee Engagement platform, leveraging global best practice, and regional EOS results. Build communication plans for the Americas region. \u00a0*Understand Executive Team requirements in terms of communications and ensure that the communication presents the message, strategy, brand and values to the business in a structured format *Manage an internal communications process including responsibility for all approval points Ensure a detailed intake process and workflow exists for communication requests Ensure the timely execution of all campaign launches and perform analysis of the effectiveness of all internal communications. *Lead the shaping of the overall mechanics and style of internal communications *Draft talking points and script materials for executive communications *Work with functional teams to develop materials for educating internal audiences *Maintain America\u2019s regional communications & CEO Blog, leading the writing, editing and polishing of communications materials and manage writing and design staff. *Manage the writing & design staff *Ensure that all employee-facing documentation is Consistent in style and correctly formatted Adheres to corporate style guidelines Achieve maximum employee impact Keep up-to-speed with market approach to internal to ensure that our mechanics are always \u2018best-in-class Research and evaluate new communication opportunities and social media channels, employee needs and insights Ensure cost effective communications are delivered optimizing existing tools and resources Design Communication Plans as needed for individual campaigns Maintain Americas Regional Communications Planner Employee Engagement *Create an employee focused environment with a focus on improving the culture and employee engagement *Lead the development and implementation of all internal employee engagement processes and recognition programs *Lead the Corporate Social Responsibility (Philanthropy and Sustainability) initiative across the Americas, with a specific focus in Wheeling Support programs such as Employee Opinion Survey and new engagment initiatives Work with Human Resources & business unit leaders to develop and drive engagement initiatives Working conditions This position works in an office environment. WLRSR Requirements Job qualifications 5 years\u2019 experience in a leadership role, either in Communications or Engagement. A Bachelor\u2019s degree is preferred. Strong, effective communicator (written & verbal) Strong skills with tools of the communications trade including written communication, collateral materials, Microsoft software suite of products, creative design software, Adobe Professional knowledge and website development A proven track record as a manager of people in a customer service, outsourcing or professional services environment; demonstrated leadership ability (mentoring, developing, coaching) Demonstrated ability to pull together written and creative elements to create a polished communication package Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment Comfort leading in a matrix management structure Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
