SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Summary: The Corporate Communications team located at the Group's head office in Zurich, Switzerland, is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Manager to serve as a business partner to the Regional President Americas as well as other top managers in the Region. The jobholder will adapt and implement the corporate communications strategy for internal and external audiences in Region Americas, coordinate and step up internal communication across the region together with the Regional President, HR, and country/site leaders, and shape **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s image as a world leader in high-quality cocoa and chocolate products. In addition, the jobholder will lead the communications work stream as part of significant projects in the Region and will manage the internal and external communication in case of crisis. Essential Functions: Based on the Groupu2019s communications strategy, develop and drive impactful corporate communications activities with defined key stakeholders in Region Americas Liaise with Corporate Communications at Head Office to cascade information to media and employees (e.g., corporate results announcements and significant M&A activities) Collaborate with the Head External Affairs Officer (a team colleague) on topics related to sustainability, issues or policy setting developments primarily in the US Further develop and implement the internal communications plan for Region Americas, together with the Regional President, regional/local HR and the respective country/site responsibles, to ensure that employees understand the companyu2019s values, strategy, goals, and direction Serve as an in-house communications consultant for top management, prepare top management speeches and external PR opportunities (e.g., media interviews) Handle all communications aspects related to major projects in the Region (including M&A activities, change management projects and essential trade shows such as Sweets & Snacks Expo and IFT) Work closely with the Marketing teams of the Food Manufacturers segment and the Marketing teams for the brands, (mainly Callebaut, Cacao Barry, Mona Lisa and van Leer) on anything related to corporate communications, in particular, media relations Further develop and implement a targeted external communications/PR strategy for select countries in Region Americas (prio 1: US, Mexico; prio 2: Brazil, Canada) Act as the primary point of contact for media in Region Americas, handle media inquiries, maintain excellent relationship with media and maximize exposure in press and editorial columns Build and manage external agency relationships to ensure successful delivery of plan, including budget management Track the companyu2019s media and social media exposure, market news, and potential issues Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communications to make appropriate improvements and recommendations Handle all communications aspects related to crises Manage budget JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bacheloru2019s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Communications or similar Work Experience: Communications professional with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role in a multinational (listed) company. Food or agri-commodity company preferred Budget and agency management experience Additional Requirements: Team player with excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills who feels comfortable in a multinational company that is characterized by a strong entrepreneurial spirit Ability to adapt corporate communications strategies to local environments and the needs of local target audiences Excellent communication and language skills in English (corporate language) and solid communication skills in Spanish. Additional languages spoken in Region Americas (Portuguese, French) would be an asset Able to build strong relationships with the Regional President Americas, his leadership team, country/site responsible across a decentralized organization and from Canada to Chile as well as with the functional experts within the Corporate Communications team Self-starter, fast learner Resilient, able to work under pressure, i.e., to deliver quality results under time constraints Flexible to work at odd hours when necessary, given the urgency of specific projects Willing to travel primarily within the Americas Able to develop strategies as well as able to execute (stand-alone function) We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
