The Unmanned Aerospace Systems market is experiencing rapid change and presents significant new opportunities for Rockwell Collins future growth. The leader of this business must have a strong focus on developing the strategic and product development plans that will lead to Rockwell Collins success as this market continues to develop. This position provides leadership for our Unmanned Aerospace Systems business with leadership responsibility for a team of program managers located in Cedar Rapids, IA and Sterling, VA.
Lead development, presentation and execution of strategic plans for the Unmanned Aerospace Systems business.
Responsible for Unmanned Systems business unit financial performance including profit and loss.
Direct the work of employees assigned to the business area. Responsible for workforce planning and organizational development initiatives: Talent Management; Performance Management; Change Management; Training; Assist in the Integration of Acquisitions.
Lead or participate in the preparation of proposals, strategic plans, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Responsible for the total life cycle value stream.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of multiple programs and company funded projects: Direct specific phases of programs/projects from inception through completion.
Identify problems and implement solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
Participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
Assist in the interaction with subcontractors and suppliers concerning strategic planning, team agreements, associations, etc.
Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of relevant experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have an active US DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Proven leadership in strategic thought, appropriate analysis, well-prepared contributions and sound, timely decision-making.
Established proficiency to identify and take action on opportunities to grow the business and work seamlessly across multiple functions, portfolios and geographic locations.Execution experience with development and production programs.
Familiarity with Rockwell Collins Government Systems business and management practices, including the Management Authorization Process (RC-MAP), Integrated Performance Management (IPM), and Technical Consistent Process (TCP) is desired, but not required.
