Job DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS) - a leader in cloud computing - is seeking a curious, highly-intelligent, self-motivated and creative communications and change management professional who is looking to apply their skills and experience in innovative ways. This role will be responsible for delivering high quality service to AWS' growing Global Business Operations (GBO) team and the teams they support. AWS\u2019 growth is driving a rapid expansion of its world-wide sales team and there is an increased need for support in communications, strategic messaging, training materials/curriculum development, and change management within the GBO team and with our partners. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic environment while continually evaluating whether prevailing strategies are delivering the impact needed to justify their time and effort across different customer populations. The ideal candidate has several years in communications, change management, and/or capabilities development, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. The person in this position will work across the GBO team to develop communications materials for a diverse customer base using a highly technical service. The ideal candidate is poised, has a clear communication style, and is able to work with multiple stakeholders to distill complex information into a digestible format and present that information to those outside of GBO in a way that anticipates their needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create communications materials and messages, then manage the review, approval, and distribution of those communications.
Proactively communicate ahead of changes to minimize uncertainty.
Work with the GBO team members and leadership to understand potential upcoming change impacts and develop communications strategies to stay ahead of the change.
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field.
4 years of internal or external communications and/or customer service.
Experience creating content: digital, written, video, or visual communications materials.
Experience developing creative, effective communication plans for a diverse, remote, and mobile audience and executing those plans.
Strong financial and business analytical skills.
Strong deductive reasoning skills that allow the candidate to formulate innovative solutions.
Willing to roll up one\u2019s sleeves and get work done, even when it\u2019s outside the scope of the job.
Must be comfortable in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and able to manage priorities well.
Qualified candidates will be comfortable in a multi-tasking, high-energy environment. They will be creative and analytical problem solvers with a passion for clear, timely communications and excellent customer service.
