On the other hand, a copywriter is not required to come up with a degree, but having one especially in a communications-related course will boost his or her chances at making good at this specific advertisement occupation. A bachelor's degree with focus on marketing or advertising is also expected for entry levels for an assistant media planner.

Research positions are suitable for applicants with acquired years of experience, a master's degree, or a marketing or statistics background. Administrative positions and support services require varied academic backgrounds or experiences depending on the company or agency applied in. Generally, courses in marketing, accounting, psychology, statistics, marketing, and creative design as well as advertising-related internship are considered advantages for any applicant interested in advertisement work.
