PR Coordinator Jobs description

PR coordinators oversee all PR-related activities for their companies. They are mainly responsible for organizing and coordinating events, exhibitions, interviews, and company workshops. Other duties of PR coordinators include composing press releases and newsletters and assisting with the planning of various marketing programs. PR coordinators routinely follow up with media contacts and marketing teams.

PR coordinators must keep detailed records of the projects they work on and publicize their companies’ images through events and marketing communication activities. A PR coordinator may prepare reports and present them to a public relations director on a daily basis. He or she may also oversee web content and update the information on his or her company’s website regularly.

A PR coordinator typically needs to have a degree in mass communications, public relations, or a related field. The ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment are important requirements. PR coordinator job candidates with outstanding oral and written communication skills are highly preferred. Candidates for PR coordinator jobs should be proactive and have in-depth knowledge of consumer behavior and the latest marketing strategies.
