Today, Shell’s Gulf of Mexico operations provide more than 50% of the company’s US oil and gas production. Through the 2020s, the business will play a significant role in safely achieving a global Upstream Deep Water production target of 900,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and over $5 billion in free cash flow.
What’s the role?
You will play a vital role to Shell’s success as you help us protect and enhance the reputation of the Gulf of Mexico’s deepwater business, as well as being able to advise the business leadership team on making key business decisions that will provide a period of significant and sustained growth while maintaining and improving our safety guidelines.
Part of your role as the Public Relations and Communications Manager are as stated but not limited to below:
Manage Shell’s brand and reputation in region, leading an integrated team supporting the business, assets and growth projects
Engage with and advise senior business leaders and utilise internal communication processes that will enable improved organisational effectiveness
Provide support on integrating a multi-faceted coastal management workstream regarding business continuity and social license to operate
Lead Shells’ External Relations regional social investment and corporate sponsorship strategy
Lead the social performance, multi-channel communications, non-technical risk Integration and overall stakeholder relations for Shell’s Deepwater business within a country management perspective
Understand the opportunities, challenges, and trends through stakeholder sensing and engagement

Requirements:
What we need from you
Your extensive knowledge and experience working on External and/or Public relations or in a similar fashion
Your urge to seek challenges and love for learning
Your natural inter-personal skills and ability to influence key business decisions and managing the senior stakeholders’ expectations
Your talent for and experience with project and vendor delivery management combined with a brand development skillset
Your crisis management experience, mixed with digital and media relations handling (web, social, mobile or data insights)
Your comprehensive knowledge in managing and delivering on Social Performance
