This is a responsible, non-supervisory position; Duties involve being responsible for the production of all audio/video/digital content for marketing, advertising, media releases, community events, and social media in order to expand our presence throughout the region; Deadline-oriented position that requires a high level of self-motivation and accountability and requires having relevant knowledge of graphic design, styles, and creative techniques.
Under the direction of the Director of Public Affairs and Regional Development, produces videos, audio and photography projects and coordinates the overall technical and operational aspects of productions; Supports the Public Affairs team with creation of social media content specifically designed to increase visibility, retention, membership and website traffic; Collaborates with other departments to create, edit and produce relevant video, audio and photography projects to be used for marketing and communications initiatives that may be included in press releases, presentations, marketing, in a variety of formats; Assists in the technical direction of virtual events and meetings; Assists in writing and editing materials associated with digital content, including printed materials, presentations, news releases, and videos to help further the agency’s mission; Keeps up-to-date on the most effective digital media technology; Assists the Public Affairs team in completing yearly departmental goals; Assists with the gathering of statistical data regarding our media activity and make suggestions for improvements. Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Desired Education/Job Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate/Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Two (2) years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Media Relations and/or Public Affairs; Or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
This position is a Pay Grade 9, with a starting hourly rate of $17.35. This is a non-exempt position. Open until Filled.
