Liberty Mutual's in-house Media team is actively searching for a highly motivated leader to manage a small team focused across various Media tactics. Key responsibilities within the team are analyzing, planning, executing, and measuring media spending and impact, to enable the most effective use of the overall advertising budget in support of business goals. The ideal candidate will be passionate for building team culture, a strong coach and mentor for their team and vocal in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the broader team.
Responsibilities
Oversees media specialist staff on media buying and analytics work. Leads team in planning, developing, and implementing media campaigns and programs that are aligned with the business unit and corporate Media objectives, in partnership with stakeholders. May also manage own media campaigns/ programs.
Develops staff to deepen media space and competitive landscape knowledge to drive informed decision making regarding media spend. Provides guidance in the optimization of media spending, in support of reaching objectives.
Oversees workflow and management of partner and vendor relationships. Provides guidance in identifying strategic opportunities and vetting new partnerships as well as in improving upon existing relationships.
Oversees moderate to high complexity analyses to quantify the competitive performance of the business and generate recommendations. Ensures the team is identifying and leveraging key trends and insights.
Hires, develops, provides coaching and guidance to, and makes pay recommendations for staff. Defines individual performance objectives and development plans, and ensures alignment with department and function, objectives.
Manages and works to resolves issues that serve as obstacles. Identifies and provides visibility into trade-offs between options, while influencing recommended approach.
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making, and communication skills.
Advanced relationship management skills.
Ability to answer complex questions by synthesizing data from diverse sources.
Understands key media metrics and a disciplined approach to testing and running pilots.
Strong knowledge of relevant marketing tools and data sources.
Ability to select, develop, and engage staff, and to foster a collaborative environment.
Competencies typically acquired through a bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience in addition to 6 years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience to include deploying successful media campaigns as well as effectively providing mentoring/ guidance to others.
