The Hive at Humana is looking for a Lead Content Strategist to join the team! The Hive is Humana's in-house agency, a creative collective responsible for content development across all media, enterprise brand identity management for a diverse portfolio of Humana, Inc. brands, and partnering with marketing teams to create compelling brand expression and consumer experiences that enhance brand perception, build trust and influence choice.
Responsibilities
The Content Strategist is a Lead, Experience Transformation role who will become a part of the leadership team at the Hive and perform a critical role in a new Agile Marketing Team model that will accelerate a transformational path towards a member centric, performance marketing engine for Humana. The Content Strategist skillfully translates complex business, marketing and brand objectives into relevant content strategies based on customer needs.
Key Role Functions
Recommend consumer engagement content strategies by applying in-depth knowledge of user-centered design principles, market research, personas, analytics, business objectives and marketing best practices
Map consumer journey and related marketing strategies, synthesize insights and develop a cohesive omni-channel content plan and ensure content consistency across multiple marketing teams, campaigns, and tactics
Collaborate with marketing and enterprise content delivery teams to prioritize consumer journey requirements, establish success metrics, and evaluate content performance data
Translate consumer journey and marketing objectives into actionable documentation and briefs for enterprise delivery teams to execute member-friendly content
Apply Lean and Agile methodologies to plan, prioritize, test, and evolve content, and increase speed to market
Develop strategic pillars for brand and campaign expression, and content calendars for release cycles and key messages
Deliver persuasive presentations to a diverse set of stakeholders including business and marketing executives and teams
Leverage content management technology platforms to activate, optimize and automate content delivery
Advise on industry trends and content development best practices to drive continuous improvement, process optimization and outcomes

You synthesize data and consumer insights into actionable plans for content creators to publish relevant communications, across all media, that will enhance the customer experience and achieve business goals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
Minimum 8 years of experience developing content strategy
Minimum 2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and projects
Advanced consensus building, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and evolve marketing content strategy based on performance data
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction patterns, consumer journey maps, and Agile methodologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing content strategy for websites and social media
Comfortable leading within complex matrixed organizations
Understanding of the unique regulatory and non-regulatory complexities of the healthcare industry
Experience developing content for healthcare industry audiences and driving member engagement
Understanding of marketing and creative industry areas of specialization
Knowledge of digital and traditional content development roles and process
Proficiency with Miro and Azure
Additional Information/Requirements
Preferred location for this position is in Louisville, KY or other Humana hub locations in Washington, DC, Chicago, IL, Boston, MA or Dallas, TX. We will consider alternate locations for exceptional candidates, particularly locations that are in proximity of the locations specified
Occasional travel may be required for in person collaboration or execution of deliverables

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
