This role is for someone who has a passion for marketing, who stays on top of consumer trends and is excited about tech. The Specialist, Marketing - Social Media and Content, will have the opportunity to support The Source's brand transformation through social and content marketing. They will lead the strategy development and expansion of The Source's social media platforms, content strategy and production, influencer partnerships and PR activity.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing - Brand, this role will work with cross-functional teams, key vendors and agency partners. They will collaborate with all business units to bring campaigns and content to life that is consistent with our brand and helps reach new audiences. We are searching for a leader with strong project management skills, communications skills, and who is excited about tech and helping our customers discover the difference it will make for them.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
*Define our social media growth strategy, KPIs and develop quarterly plans to execute against it, including all content, tools and processes *Enhance The Source's content marketing capabilities by staying current on trends and best practices to ensure all content is aligned to industry standards and customer expectations *Monitor competitive activity to continually innovate campaigns and support evolving objectives *Develop briefs that translate communications strategy into actionable execution while providing copy and creative direction *Execute test and learn programs that reach new audiences, build insights to strengthen future marketing campaigns *Monitor brand and social KPIs. Evaluate campaign performance and leverage insights to optimize future campaigns *Act as liaison with external agencies/freelancers, managing the execution of social media campaigns by hosting status meetings and cross-functional touchpoints to ensure strong 360° execution of campaigns and consistency through paid and owned assets *Lead content development through the funnel that helps our customers discover the tech that works best for them
SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
*Strong project management skills *Experience managing campaigns requiring input from multiple internal and external stakeholders *Understanding of the creative and production development process *Detail oriented with a keen eye for ensuring creative output is on brand *Understanding of social media platforms, best practices, content development and tools *Strong copy writing skills to assist in creative direction
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
*Bachelor's degree and 3+ years experience in marketing *Previous experience leading and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders *Previous experience in retail and/or telecommunications
WORK REQUIREMENTS
*Travel to Barrie studio to supervise production of advertising and other content
