Hill Knowlton Strategies is looking for a dynamic
Manufacturing Communications Specialist
to
work directly with our Ford Motor Company client
in
Dearborn, MI.
Here’s what you’d be doing:
Serv
ing
as a day-to-day
onsite client contact for Ford manufacturing communications and a liaison to the H&K Ford communications agency team
Support
ing
enterprise storytelling efforts in manufacturing communications, including story mining and SME interviews to uncover interesting and newsworthy stories supporting the Ford narrative and key corporate initiatives
Draft
ing
story pitches, news releases and briefs working closely with Ford’s content factory to further develop stories and written materials
Plan
ning
and execut
ing
media events – from plant coordination to media materials to media relations and beyond
Accompanying
photo and video teams to Ford plants to capture assets for communications outreach  
Plac
ing
enterprise stories with media
Provid
ing
media relations support on corporate communications stories, media forums, events, conferences, executive appearances, etc.
Here’s what you’ll need to get here:
Strong writing
and
reporting skills
Proficient copy-editing skills (AP style)
Ability to think creatively, problem solve and execute under deadline pressure
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus across multiple, cross-functional disciplines to deliver strong results
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
Familiar
ity
with multiple social media platforms
