PR Account Manager Jobs description

A PR account manager has ultimate responsibility for a number of accounts. He or she manages the work of other account managers, and is the key person in charge of PR budgets and administration. The PR account manager manages a portfolio of accounts for major high-profile clients and top business leaders. The PR account manager also deals with all aspects of a campaign. The PR account manager leads and trains other members of the account team. The PR account manager has to achieve sales targets with the help of the accounts team and also with the help of different PR teams. He also has to deliver presentations to high-level managers and convince them to their fold through clever write-ups and other visual aids. The PR account manager has to attend client meetings to discuss the annual PR budget.

To get into the field of PR, candidates need a college education in advertising or media. The PR account manager also should have a commerce diploma or a certificate in accounts for the job. A post graduate degree in either of the fields is preferable.
