PR Advisor Jobs description

A PR advisor, sometimes called a communications advisor, is responsible for delivering corporate communication services and establishing favorable relationships with stakeholders, customers, media, internal staff, and other business associates. PR advisors advise management and staff about all aspects of communications and develop strategies to improve their companies' corporate images.
The PR advisor acts as a link between the media and his or her organization to deliver the right message to a target audience. He or she also maintains relationships with other departments to make sure all internal communications are clear as well. Writing press releases, articles, and other materials is one of the PR advisor's job duties. During a crisis the PR advisor plays a critical role in providing strategic communication support and addressing emergency situations effectively.
Any candidate for a PR advisor job should have experience in public relations or journalism or a degree in journalism or marketing. PR advisors with strong motivational and communication skills are preferred. Having the ability to network and maintain good relationships with media outlets is also a must for those who wish to obtain positions as PR advisors. Computer proficiency is also necessary.
