The position:
We are currently seeking an ambitious and driven Press Officer to join our Communications team. The overlying responsibility of the Press Officer is to explore and activate proactive opportunities to widen the communications reach of Williams into lifestyle media in line with the new **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. brand, along with supporting the efficient running of the race team press office.
The role:
As our Press Officer, your responsibilities will include supporting and assisting with day-to-day press office management and proactive lifestyle and motorsport communications. You will also support the development and implementation of the PR and communications strategy for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***..
You will support day-to-day activity across the communications team and be a point of contact for press office enquiries, requests for digital assets and chaperoning journalists, TV crews and photographers where required. You’ll be required to write content for use across Williams channels, maintaining press kits, media reporting and research gathering for PR activity and events.
As Press Officer you will also:
Respond to media interview requests including organisation, briefing and management on and off site.
Respond to; photographic, film and collateral requests, as well as all general calls into the department regarding the Williams Beyond Racing brand proposition, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., Esports and Heritage activity.
Ensure effective balance between motorsport and lifestyle activity for the F1 team.
A key focus on proactive work to widen the communications reach of the Williams brand, particularly into non-motorsport and lifestyle media.
Create wider campaigns that highlight the Williams brand ‘beyond racing’.
Travel and event attendance will be required in line with the role. You will also be required to have a full driving license.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record working within a similar role in a fast-paced environment for a high-profile organisation. They will have excellent spoken and written English and may also have a second language. Tenacious, with an eye for detail, the candidate will be a strong team player with excellent organisation skills.
